Macguffin 08: The Desk
The eighth issue of MacGuffin turns its lens toward our primary daily workstation: the desk. Opening drawers and spotlighting desktop greenery, this edition surveys every iteration of workspace design—from immaculate to cluttered, radical to makeshift, and even talk show setups and presidential doodling. Through rich essays, visual archives, and design studies, Issue 08 examines the cultural and personal lives built around these quiet fixtures, featuring contributions on François Dallegret, Egon Eiermann, Enzo Mari, Saint Jerome, Superstudio, Jan Švankmajer, and more.
